Accident Avoidance
Electronic Stability Program (ESP)
The available Electronic Stability Program(ESP)[1] is designed to assist drivers in maintaining control of their vehicles during extreme steering maneuvers. ESP senses when a vehicle is starting to spin (oversteer) or plow (understeer). That's when Traction Control and Brake Assist activate to help correct the vehicle's course by automatically controlling the throttle and applying the brakes at individual wheels.
Antilock Braking
Avenger's available four-wheel antilock disc/drum and disc/disc brake system (ABS) with brake assist helps prevent wheel lockup for shorter stopping distances and improved control under extreme conditions.
All-Wheel Drive
Avenger hugs the road so well you'll want to hug it back. Available[2] all-wheel drive (AWD) improves traction in nearly all conditions, especially on wet, slippery roads. The system anticipates the need for added traction and responds by directing power to the rear wheels. And it operates only when needed.
