The standard Electronic Stability Program^[1] (ESP) assists drivers in maintaining control during extreme steering maneuvers. Electronic Stability Program^[1] (ESP) senses when a vehicle is starting to spin (oversteer) or plow (understeer), and attempts to correct the vehicle’s course by controlling the throttle and applying the brakes at individual wheels.

Tuned for on-road activity during normal operation, the vehicle's traction control system helps maintain traction by applying the brakes and in some cases closing the throttle to minimize wheel spin during acceleration.

To make challenging roads feel like pristine highway, the 2008 Grand Caravan features a new improved suspension. The new McPherson strut front-wheel drive architecture controls road noise and harshness, improves lateral stiffness and helps maintain stability during cornering for a more comfortable and controlled ride. In back, a new rear twist-beam suspension with coil springs provides better overall handling and ride comfort.
