The standard Electronic Stability Program^[1] (ESP) is designed to assist drivers in maintaining control of their vehicles during extreme steering maneuvers. ESP senses when a vehicle is starting to spin (oversteer) or plow (understeer), and attempts to correct the vehicle's course by automatically controlling the throttle and applying the brakes at individual wheels.

Tuned for on-road activity during normal operation, the vehicle's traction control system helps maintain traction by applying the brakes and in some cases closing the throttle to minimize wheel spin during acceleration.

Four-wheel antilock disc brakes are standard and equipped with electronic sensors to prevent wheel lockup, offering improved steering control under extreme braking, sudden stopping or slippery conditions.

It displays a wide-angle view of the area immediately behind the vehicle to assist the driver when backing up. The rear image is automatically displayed on the navigation screen when the transmission is shifted into reverse.

The available ParkSense® Rear Park Assist System^[2] uses sound waves to detect nearby obstacles in and near the rear path of the vehicle to help you maneuver in tight spaces at parking speeds. Audio-visual indicators in the overhead display in the rear of the vehicle alert you to the proximity of most larger, stationary objects that might be outside your line of sight.

Maintaining accurate tire pressure is not only good for the life of your tires, but can help increase your cars fuel efficiency. A tire pressure monitor system is standard on all Grand Caravan models. The base system offers a warning indicator on the instrument cluster when a tire has low pressure.
