Wind Tunnel Testing
Hours of rigorous wind tunnel testing allow for measurements of every aspect of aerodynamic performance including interior sound. In addition to strategically placed sound dampening materials, Grand Caravan's structural design adds to its quiet interior atmosphere.

Durability
As part of a rigorous noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) regimen, extensive four-post shaker testing not only measures overall durability of the vehicle, it pinpoints and addresses any road noise issues. In addition, testing is conducted under extreme conditions of hot and cold to further ensure reliable durability.
A new front-suspension architecture, new rear twist-beam suspension with coil springs and larger wheels and wider tires increase confidence on the road by improving ride quality, quietness and handling.

Quiet Ride
Step inside and leave noise behind. Engineered into the 2008 Grand Caravan, are systems that decrease road, powertrain and wind noise, increasing sound-system and conversation quality.
Sound dampening materials are applied to areas where noise can reverberate including the roof, wheel wells, floor, dash, doors and windshield. There is even a sound dampening substance that adheres to the sheet metal during the paint baking process.
